A European Patent, Trade Mark and Design Attorney, he advises start-ups, corporates, universities and research institutes on using patents, trade secrets, open source and branding to balance openness with control. His PhD (NTNU, 2020) examined trade secret management in open innovation. With over 20 years’experience and earlier roles in telecoms and e-learning, Haakon’s current work centres on practical confidentiality such as drafting enforceable NDAs, structuring disclosure in collaborations, and aligning contract terms with long-term trade secret protection.
