We support the early stage business development of deep tech start-ups
Deep tech start-ups can increase the creation and export of higher value-added products, services and technologies through new business development knowledge and skills.

Who was the main target of the grant?
- The grant can be applied for by micro- and small scale enterprises registered in Estonia that have been operating for at least five years
- The applicant is a deep tech start-up – an enterprise that develops a technology that is characterised by a time-consuming and capital-intensive development process and increased uncertainty or business risk due to the reliability or applicability of that technology.
The main deep technology areas are high-tech materials and production systems, artificial intelligence, biotechnologies, autonomous vehicles, robotics, photonics, microelectronics and nanotechnologies, quantum computing, medical and neurotechnologies, space technologies - Two full-time positions are filled in the applicant’s team
What qualified for a grant?
You can apply for a grant for the following activities:
- testing the international market suitability of a product, service or technology and seeking initial feedback from potential customers in this regard
- testing the demand for a product and service concept or conducting an initial survey among potential customers
- test marketing in the target market
- drawing up an internationalisation strategy
- analysis of financing for international growth
- development of governance, good practice and organisation to support international growth and implementation of the necessary principles of sustainability
- searching for international investors
- carrying out analysis of intellectual property rights and patents
- regulatory compliance services for the internationalisation of a product, service or technology
