Startup Estonia takes Estonian deep tech startups to Singapore
This October, Estonian deep tech startups will head to Singapore as part of Startup Estonia’s Nordic Deep Tech Valley program to take part in the Nordic Singapore Innovation Days 2025 — a joint initiative with Finland and Sweden.
According to Kati Pärn, Nordic Partnerships Lead at Startup Estonia, the event will connect Nordic startups with Singaporean corporations and investors to foster business opportunities and partnerships in green and sustainable innovation. “Our aim is to provide Estonian startups operating in the complex and highly competitive deep tech sector with a concrete opportunity to secure new investors, partners, and clients in Asian markets — and to elevate their networks to the next level,” said Pärn.
Pärn added that it is essential for the Nordic countries to present themselves as a unified region in Asia. “When we act together with our neighbors, we are stronger and carry more weight on the other side of the globe. This program allows the Nordic ecosystems to join forces and gain greater visibility,” she emphasized.
Singapore’s startup ecosystem is one of the leading ones in Asia and there is a strong interest among Estonian entrepreneurs and founders in Singapore’s success story and collaboration. With a population of 5.9 million and around 1,300 active deep tech startups, Singapore serves as an important role model for Estonia, which has set the goal of reaching 500 deep tech companies by 2030.
The Nordic delegation will include startup founders, investors, science parks, innovation agencies, and other ecosystem representatives. From Estonia, the participating startups are MindChip, MyCeen, RAIKU Packaging, LightCode Photonics, and VARCUS Solutions.
The Nordic Singapore Innovation Days 2025 will take place in Singapore from October 27 to 31. Over five days, the delegation will gain insights into Singapore’s innovation ecosystem. Estonian startups will meet potential clients, investors, and representatives of local startup support organizations. The Nordic delegation will also take part in Singapore’s leading technology event, SWITCH (Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology).
The Nordic Singapore Innovation Days 2025 program has been developed in collaboration between Estonia, Finland, and Sweden within the framework of the Nordic Deep Tech Valley program.
