Where else can you get support?

EstFund

EstFund is a fund of funds established in cooperation with the European Investment Fund (EIF), the EIS and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of the Republic of Estonia (MoEIC). EstFund is financed by the European Regional Development Fund from the Operational Programme for Cohesion Policy funding 2014-2020 with €48 million , with the EIF investing €12 million of its own managed capital. In total, €60 million will be invested from the EstFund , plus nearly €40 million from private investors .

EstFund consists of the following funds:

  • Tera Ventures Fund II focuses on venture capital investments in innovative early stage companies.
  • Equity United PE I provides expansion capital to companies with high growth potential that aim to increase their product range or enter new markets. Before investing in companies, the fund’s managers also raise additional capital from private investors.
  • United Angels Co-Investment Fund I  actively co-invests with private investors in early-stage Estonian companies.

Venture capital funds

Superangel

Superangel invests in technology startups. The investment will be up to €1.5 million per company, but the initial investment of the fund will be in the range of €50, 000 – €200, 000.

Karma Ventures

Karma Ventures invests in technology startups. The investments are up to €3 million per company, plus possible follow-on investments.

BaltCap

The BaltCap Growth Fund invests in small and medium-sized companies that want to launch new products and services, expand through acquisitions and takeovers or grow to become market leaders in the region. Investments range from €0.5 million to €3 million per company.

BaltCap Private Equity Fund II invests in companies mainly through majority buy-outs. The size of the investments ranges from €5 million to €15 million per company.

BPM Capital

BPM Capital provides mezzanine financing for business expansion, buy-outs and capital restructuring. This financing is a suitable alternative for entrepreneurs who wish to maintain (or acquire) a majority stake in the share capital and control the management of a company. Investments range from €2 million to €10.5 million per company.

Livonia Partners

Livonia Partners invests in industrial and service companies mainly through majority buy-outs. Investments range from €3 million to €15 million per company.
